Description | The City of Bristol is accepting bids for construction of site improvements, including introduction and rehabilitation of trails, construction of new entrances, and other associated amenities, at Kern Park within Bristol, Connecticut. Bid documents may be obtained at no charge by downloading from the City of Bristol website via the document link noted below. Bids received after the opening date and time will not be considered for award. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest. This project is subject to requirements set forth in the American Rescue Plan Act ("ARPA"). The awarded contractor will be responsible to follow and provide all requirements set by the United States Treasury's State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds ("SLFRF"). Prospective bidders shall examine the "Instruction to Bidders" and "Supplementary Instructions to Bidders" and shall comply and conform strictly with the conditions and instructions contained therein. The awarded contractor will be required to secure a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract award, provided by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut. The requirements for prevailing wage rates are to apply to the resultant contract award. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest. Bids must be firm and may not be withdrawn for a period of 90 days following the bid opening. The Contractor will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin. |
