Description | Nicodemus National Historic Site has a requirement to install a water line and service connection. See attached SOW for details. Install Water Line and Service Connection in accordance with the Scope of Work and all addenda. Product/Service Code: Z2QA Product/Service Description: REPAIR OR ALTERATION OF RESTORATION OF REAL PROPERTY (PUBLIC OR PRIVATE) Delivery: 45 Days After Notice to Proceed The Schedule Section A: Solicitation/Contract Form This solicitation is a Request for Quote (RFQ) Solicitation to install water line and service connection at Nicodemus National Historic Site in Nicodemus, Kansas, in accordance with the Specifications and is issued on Standard Form (SF) 18. Award of this contract will be made according to FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All references to "proposal," "offer" or "bid" in this solicitation shall be understood to mean "quotation." The Government will evaluate all Quotations in an impartial manner and consideration will be given to those with the highest perceived value to the government based on responses to the evaluation factors identified in Section M. Special Notice for Contractors Submitting Quotes Signing of the quotation shall be deemed to be a representation by the quoter that contractor owns, operates, or maintains a place of business, regularly engaged in construction projects that include having staff with experience required to perform the work described in this solicitation. Quoted price must include all materials/labor/work/taxes to complete work outlined in the SOW. The Schedule Section A: Solicitation/Contract Form This solicitation is a Request for Quote (RFQ) Commencement, Prosecution, and Completion of Work. (APR 1984) The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within 10 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 45 calendar days as directed by the Notice to Proceed unless a different completion date is negotiated and approved by modification to the contract. This performance period shall be all inclusive to include processing of submittals, lead time for materials, actual work, and cleanup of premises. to install water line and service connection at Nicodemus National Historic Site in Nicodemus, Kansas, in accordance with the Specifications and is issued on Standard Form (SF) 18. Site Visit (Construction) (FEB 1995) (a) The clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work, will be included in any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation. Accordingly, offerors or bidders are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. (b) Site Visits may be arranged during normal duty hours by contacting: Name: Bill Chapman Phone: 620-285-6911 UTILITIES Cost or use charges for temporary facilities shall be included in the Contract Sum as required. Water Service: Water from existing water system is not available. Electric Power Service: Electric power from existing system is available for use without metering and without payment of use charges. Provide connections and extensions of services as required for construction operations without any additional permit costs. Power may or may not meet your construction power tool requirements, provide generators if questionable. Use power in a resourceful manner and avoid excess power waste. Toilets: Contractor provided for contracting personnel, sufficiently lighted and ventilated toilet facilities in weatherproof, sight proof, handicap accessible (if required), sturdy enclosures with privacy locks. Coordinate with COR for approved location if not shown on attached site plan OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT (OSHA) INSPECTIONS The contractor shall be subject to inspections under the OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT (OSHA) program by inspectors of the Department of Labor. All questions should be emailed directly to the Contracting Specialist. Only written RFI's will be considered and responded to by the Government. NPS responses to RFIs will be posted as an amendment to the solicitation. Goals for Minority Participation for Each Trade: 1.5% Goals for Female Participation for Each Trade: 6.9% |
