Bridge Replacement

In general, the work consists of the removal of an existing bridge carrying a private drive over the Eau Claire River and constructing a replacement bridge in the same location. The private drive approach roadway will be replaced at each end of the bridge for a distance before tying into the existing roadway. The new bridge work will include a cast-in-place concrete bridge deck on prestressed concrete girders, cast-in-place concrete abutments on driven steel piling, riprap embankments, and tubular steel railings. The approach work will include minor earthwork grading, asphalt pavement on base aggregate, guardrails, and site restoration
