Description | The project consists of renovations of the former Sullivan North High School into the Kingsport North Gymnasium Upgrades. Work consists of demolition, floor, finishes, painting, acoustical ceiling, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Trades included but not limited to: Selective Demo., Cast-In-Place Concrete, Metal Grating Rooftop Walkways, Pipe & Tube Railings, Interior Architectural Woodwork, Joint Sealants, Mirrors, Drywall, Tiling, Ceramic Tiling, Acoustical Tile Ceilings, Parquet Wood Flooring, Wood Athletic Flooring, Resilient Base & Accessories, Resilient Tile Flooring, Tile Carpeting, Exterior & Interior Painting, Toilet/Bath Compartments & Accessories, Gymnasium Bleachers, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, & Electrical. The project team has ordered the HVAC equipment which is due to arrive mid-November. These six HVAC rooftop units will be Owner Furnished, Contractor installed (OFCI). One lower level HVAC unit which serves the locker rooms is a long lead time item and will be installed as part of this project but not be required to be complete under the emergency timeline. The owner is contracting all overhead ceiling work in the gymnasium area including new ceiling tiles, lighting, cleaning of existing HVAC grilles and replacing damaged sprinkler heads under a separate contract and this work is expected to be complete by October 7, 2022. Approximately 678 bleacher seats will be Owner Furnished, Owner installed (OFOI), this work will be coordinated with painting which is under the contractor's scope. The project team has verified all specified finishes are available and will work with the contractor should any finishes become unavailable to ensure they can get materials to complete the project. Lower level HVAC for lockers rooms and any other items agreed upon by the project team which cannot be delivered in an appropriate timeline to complete portions of the project will not penalize the contractor. Schedule: Substantially Complete by December 14, 2022 |
