Construction and Rehab of Gravity and Sewer Force Mains on an Annual Contract

Work under this contract includes the construction, repair, and scheduled maintenance of gravity sewers and force mains including site work, appurtenances, labor, and materials necessary to complete the work. This contract is also utilized to relocate DWR utilities that are in conflict with County and State DOT projects. The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Construction and Rehab of Gravity and Sewer Force Mains on an Annual Contract with Four (4) Options to Renew. Bids submitted by contractors who have not been prequalified under the Annual Prequalification of Contractors for Installation, Replacement and Relocation of Gravity Sanitary Sewer Mains, Force Mains and Appurtenances, Sub-section 2 and 4 will not be considered. For contractors interested in prequalification for future projects, one original of the Annual Pre-Qualification Application must be completed and submitted to the Gwinnett County Purchasing Office, 75 Langley Drive - Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046. Bids are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. All Bidders are required to submit a Bid Bond, or a certified check made payable to the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The Bid Bond or certified check must be enclosed in the envelope with the sealed bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the sum of $5 million and provide insurance coverage as required by the contract documents. For a period of one year with four (4) additional one-year options to renew, all work assignments shall be completed within the time allowed for each. The County will award the Contract to the lowest "qualified" bidder(s), subject with the Owner's right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interests. With limited response, Gwinnett County reserves the right to extend the solicitation opening date as appropriate in order to assure a competitive procurement process.
