Description | The Work involves performing all work and furnishing all labor, materials and equipment, as provided by the Contract Documents, for a completed work of improvement as follows: Timber Ridge Booster Pump Station Rehabilitation, Contract No. J-2020-37. The scope of work includes: the demolition of the existing fire pump, pump station building, valving, piping and electrical equipment; construction of new pump station building including three pumps/motors, valves, piping, appurtenances and HVAC; yard piping including bladder surge tanks; modifications to existing pressure reducing station; grading and site work including perimeter retaining wall and gates; new electrical, instrumentation and control facilities including new SCE transformer, switchboard/meter; motor control center; VFD, soft starters, panel boards, control panels, automatic transfer switch, and security panel; new natural gas generator with sound enclosure; street restoration; and miscellaneous improvements. the construction of the Timber Ridge Booster Pump Station Rehabilitation (the Work). The Work is to be done in accordance with the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents on file in the Owner's office located at 1717 E. Miraloma Avenue, Placentia, California 92870, which plans and specifications are designated as above, and which documents are by this reference incorporated herein. The Site of the Work is described as follows: located on Fairmont Boulevard between Quail Circle and Timber Ridge Road, address of the facility is 3727 Timber Ridge Road in the City of Yorba Linda. In addition, to the District's property, the District has obtained additional temporary construction easement as shown on the Plans. All Work must be completed within three hundred and ninety (390) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. It is agreed that damages for the failure of the Contractor to complete the total Work described herein within the time limits required are impossible to ascertain but that the sum of one thousand five hundred DOLLARS ($1,500) per day is a reasonable estimate. Should the Work not be completed within the specified time for completion, the Contractor shall be liable for liquidated damages, payable to the Owner, as set forth in the General Provisions, in an amount of one thousand five hundred DOLLARS ($1,500) for each calendar day of delay in completion. In accordance with the provisions of California Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15, the Owner requires that: (a) the Bidder be licensed in the State of California, (b) the Bidder's license appears clearly on the Bid, (c) the license expiration date appears on the Bid, (d) the Bid contains a statement that the representations contained therein are made under penalty of perjury, and (e) any Bid not containing this information, or a Bid containing information which is subsequently proven false, shall be considered non-responsive and shall be rejected by the Owner. If federal funds are involved in the Project, no Bid submitted shall be invalidated by failure of the Bidder to be licensed in accordance with the laws of this State. At the time the Contract is awarded, however, the Contractor shall be properly licensed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, payable to the Yorba Linda Water District, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, shall promptly execute the Agreement, furnish a satisfactory Faithful Performance Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, furnish a Labor and Materials Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, and furnish certificates and any other documentation requested by the Owner evidencing that the required insurance is in effect in the amounts set forth in the Contract Documents All questions relative to this Project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed to the Owner's Representative for the Project: Danielle Logsdon, P.E., PMP Yorba Linda Water District 1717 E.
