AFC - Robotics Renovation

Renovating existing wet lab and office space on two levels of a research building and re-purpose 5926sf area for a Robotics field research lab. This involves creating robotics assembly shop on the 1st floor and office/ computational and collaboration research space on the second floor. The project also involves adding an elevator shaft and a vestibule connecting to the main hallway of the building given the secure nature of the research. Additionally, it includes adding fire sprinkler and alarm system in the project area and adjoining existing and occupied laboratory space on the 1st floor and the mechanical room on 2nd floor for a total of 7161sf. A new fire riser is being brought into the building outside the scope of this project that will then need to be tied to the building mains and branched distribution system as part of the fire sprinkler system.
