Description

The Village of Winnetka is accepting bids from properly qualified firms to provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to replace the interior stairwell in the 4-story brick portion of the fire training facility with open style tread stairs similar to what is being used in the 2-story portion of the facility. The Training Tower is located at 1390 Willow Rd, behind the Winnetka Public Works Fleet building, and is utilized for fire department live fire training. The building is a 4-story brick building with ten (10) window openings, and a membrane roof. The Village has chosen to replace the shutters to raise the sill for firefighter safety, create a uniform look of the tower, increase the tower's viable usage as a training facility, and protect the tower against damage from weather.
