Description | Three (3) year term with two (2) possible one-year extensions Agreement Type: Project Specific Up to four (4) agreements may be awarded from this solicitation. The resulting agreement may be State & Federal funded. The anticipated method of payment is cost plus fixed fee This Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Delaware Department of Transportation is for the purpose of acquiring Proposals from interested firms to provide cultural resource services including investigations and evaluations on an as-needed basis for various projects statewide. Services include but are not limited to the following: Archaeology, Architectural History, and Historic Preservation. The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) requires statewide cultural resource services in support its Environmental Studies Section's cultural preservation efforts. These projects will involve cultural investigations and evaluations. All work assignments will be issued on a task order basis and will be at the discretion of the Department and the availability of funding. Interested firms should be able to demonstrate their in-house Geographic Information Systems (GIS) capabilities, have a thorough knowledge of the DESHPO Survey Guidelines, and must have at least one in-house Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA). Selected firms will be required to become members of the American Cultural Resource Association (ACRA). Proof of current membership will be required prior to award. Selected firms will be expected to supply the entire range of cultural resource requirements and needs as specified within Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, as well as all other applicable legislation, rules, regulations, and amendments as they apply to the U. S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highways Administration, and Federal Aviation Administration. Only firms with experience in cultural resource evaluation, impact assessment and effect documentation, and public involvement will be considered.
