Town Center CRA Easement Trail/Park Main to Mattie Kelly - CRT17 - City of Destin

Develop a trail/park in the Power Liner Easement to connect Main Street to Mattie Kelly Blvd to Airport Road to promote the multi-modal goal of convenient access to Main Street shops and amenities without need to drive. Also to serve as a recreational pathway. Funding in FY2023 is for design and Right-of-Way/Easement Acquisition. FY25 funding is for construction. This timing also allows for more discretionary funds to build within the Town Center CRA from the existing Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) agreement. As of November 30, 2022, this project is in the conceptual phase. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
