Description | Pre-bid meeting was originally scheduled 04/21/2020 at 12:00 PM ET Borough of Montvale Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials Collection & Disposal Services 1. Cancellation of Pre-Bid Meeting THE PRE-BID MEETING for this bid which was originally scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at the Montvale Municipal Complex, 12 Mercedes Drive, Montvale, New Jersey, HAS BEEN CANCELLED as a result of the current State of Emergency and Public Health Emergency involving COVID-19. The Pre-Bid Meeting will not be rescheduled. The Borough of Montvale, Bergen County, New Jersey for a three-year contract for Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials Collection & Disposal Services The bid package must be accompanied by either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of the "Borough of Montvale" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the lump sum bid price for the first year of the contract, not to exceed $20,000.00. A Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the municipality, with Power of Attorney for the full amount of the required performance bond, is required. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. The award of this contract is contingent upon the availability of funds. The Borough reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before furnishing bid forms or specifications, or before awarding the Contract. Bids for this Contract will only be accepted from responsible bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the bid documents. The right is reserved to accept the lowest bid received for the Base Bid, or the Base Bid plus either or both Alternates, in the discretion of the Borough. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids for the reasons set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, or to waive any non-material defect or informality in a bid or to accept a bid, which in its judgment and discretion, best serves the interest of the Borough. This Contract shall be subject to a maximum of two (2) years of extensions, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-15. Bidders are required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the current requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. (P.L. 1975, c. 127, Affirmative Action), N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq. (New Jersey Law Against Discrimination), P.L. 1977, Chapters 33 (N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, Statement of Corporate Ownership), and N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.49 (P.L. 1999, c. 39 as amended by P.L. 2004, c.57, New Jersey Contractor Registration Act). The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq., New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964 and the Public Works Contractor Registration Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48) *This project is on hold due to the public health crisis. A new timeline has not been established. |
