Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Scottsburg, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility. Please see the Notice to Bidders for more information on acquiring the Bidding Documents. Bids received after such hour will be returned unopened. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the title of the Project, Division number, and the name and address of Bidder. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract for each Division. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on bid forms included in the Specifications. Bids shall include all information requested by Indiana Form 96 included with the Specifications. Under Section III of Form 96, the Bidder shall submit a financial statement. The Owner may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the Bidder to perform the work and the Bidder shall furnish to the Owner all such information and data for this purpose as the Owner may request. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the work contemplated therein. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days. A conditional or qualified Bid will not be accepted. Award will be made to the low, responsive, responsible bidder. The project is being financed in part by the Indiana Finance Authority State Water Infrastructure Fund (SWIF). Said wage scale is included in the project Specifications. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the project throughout. Division II - Wastewater Sewer Rehabilitation Work in this Division includes CIPP lining existing clay and cast iron sewers in various sizes between 6" and 12", and installing pump bypass structures at two (2) existing lift stations. A Unit Price Itemized Bid Schedule is provided for each extension. - Pre-clean inspection - Sewer cleaning - Final cleaning inspection - Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) sewer main lining -Lift station valve vault upgrade Total pipe length for this Contract Division is approximately 35,150 lineal feet.
