Description

The City of Norton Shores invites submission of job scope, experience, interest and cost proposals from qualified consultants for providing construction surveying services and engineering construction engineering/inspection services for the following project: 2022 (FY23) Hot-Mix Asphalt (HMA) Milling, Overlay, Resurfacing and Hot-In-Place (HIP) Construction Engineering Services The intended project will consist of providing construction engineering services for the streets referenced below and providing Inspection Daily Reports (IDR), material testing reports and final quantities to aid the City in the hot-in-place (HIP) pavement recycling, placement of HMA overlay pavement, and the milling are resurfacing of the existing paved roadways (BP-22-05 and BP-22- 06). Selection of the Consultant by the City Council's decision is expected to be made on August 16, 2022. Questions regarding technical aspects of the project may be addressed to the City of Norton Shores, Department of Public Works, at 231-799- 6803. Time frame: It is intended that all engineering inspection work, including the field reports, will be completed by December 31, 2022. Construction work is anticipated to begin in late August and be completed by the end of November 2022. Addenda to the proposed documents may be issued prior to the deadline to clarify the proposal documents or to reflect modifications in the contract terms. Each addendum issued will be distributed to each Consultant to whom the proposal documents have been issued. The Consultant shall acknowledge receipt of each addendum by signing and returning the receipt form distributed with the addendum with their proposal. All addenda issued become part of the proposal documents. The City may waive any information or minor defects or reject any and all proposals without incurring any liability. Any proposal may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled date and time. Any proposal received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No Consultant may withdraw a proposal within 45 days after the actual deadline date. Should there be reasons why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the City and the Consultant. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
