West Campus Chilled Water Plant System Expansion (Design Assist-Mechnical)

Project consists of building out the existing available West Campus Chilled Water Plant infrastructure to maximize cooling capacity, plant operation, and increase efficiency by the addition of new supplemental equipment. Modifying the existing structure and adding larger doors to enhance access, ease installation, and support the new equipment that includes the following: centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps, replacement and addition of valves, heat exchanger, exhaust fans, variable frequency drives, and associated interconnecting piping and ductwork that ties into the existing systems. DDC controls will be provided for all new equipment, connecting to the existing system and the integration of all new equipment into the current building automation system. Electrical power modifications will be made to the existing switchgear to accept the new mechanical equipment. Lightning protection will be added for all new equipment at the tower level, and grounding will be provided for all new equipment, with both systems tying into the existing plant infrastructure. Installation of the new equipment will require demolition and modification in designated areas. The roofing system will be patched and repaired as required to maintain the current warranty.
