Description

Approximately 2,400 existing polybutylene water services within approximately 70 subdivisions around the Austin area with pressures over 100 psi will be replaced with copper or HDPE. Due to pressure and material, these services have a high risk of breakage, and many have previously experienced a break with subsequent repair by AW Distribution System Maintenance (DSM) crews. The contractor will replace PB/PE services in subdivisions with a history of high service line failure frequency.
