Description | Watertown Housing Authority, herein called the Owner, in accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-2 of the General Municipal Law, invites the submission of sealed bids for the construction work involved with the Window Replacement Project at 847 LeRay Street Watertown, NY Replace all existing windows in apartments, halls, and stairwells. The vestibule and common area window replacement will be an alternate. It is strongly recommended that all Bidders visit the site and thoroughly familiarize themselves with the conditions of the work. Questions regarding the project must be submitted in writing and will be accepted until one week before the bid opening. Proposals in excess of $100,000 must be accompanied by either a Bid Bond issued by a surety company which shall insure the Owner to the extent of ten percent (10%) of the Proposal or a certified check to be used by the Owner to insure the Owner in lieu of a bid bond to the extent of five percent (5%) of the Proposal. Proposals less than $100,000 must be accompanied by a certified or bank check in the amount of 5% of the proposal. A performance and payment bond will not be required from the selected contractor for proposals less than $100,000, However the Owner may require another form of security for faithful performance. Sample forms for bid, bid bonds, performance and payment bonds and construction contract documents are included in this package. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the OWNER. The General Municipal Law of the State of New York requires that bidders certify, under penalty of perjury, that bids have been prepared without collusion with other bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. This certification is included within the Bid Form. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in the bidding. |
