Reclaimed Water Treatment Plant (RWTP) - Piping Modification and Production Improvements

1. General Requirements of the Contract,including mobilization/demobilization, bonds, insurance, contract administration, scheduling and coordination,preparation and approval of submittals, provision of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) data, Owner training, and specified testing and warranty services. 2. Demolition, removal, and disposal of the existing 20-inch diameter underground reject bypass plug valve and electric actuator, and installation of 20-inch and 24-inch ductile iron pipe and fittings as necessary to restore the existing yard piping following removal of the valve. 3. Installation of a 24-inch ductile iron reject bypass pipe connection and electrically actuated butterfly valves for the South Filter Building. 4. Installation of a 16-inch ductile iron reject bypass pipe connection and electrically actuated butterfly valves for the North filter Building. 5. Installation of chlorine residual and turbidity monitoring equipment and reject bypass control logic for each of the two filter buildings. 6. Replacement of four existing 14-inch diameter flanged filter influent butterfly valves with Owner-furnished valves and electric valve actuators in the North Filter Building. Replacement of filter influent valves at the North Filter Building will require removal and replacement of approximately 42 linear feet of existing aluminum guardrail. 7. Replacement of two existing 20-inch diameter flanged filter influent butterfly valves with Owner-furnished valves and electric valve actuators in the South Filter Building. 8. Start-up and testing of all equipment, restoration, and Contract close-out activities. B. Additive Alternate A 1. Installation of two new vertical turbine Filter Feed Pumps (Nos. 1 and 2) in existing pump suction barrels, and associated discharge pipe, fittings, valves, and accessories.
