Description | The Ellenville Central School District (Owner) invites bids for "2020 Capital Improvement Project - Phase 2B" which involves work at the Ellenville Elementary School, located at 28 Maple Avenue, Ellenville, New York 12428. The Work of the project will be let for the following Contract: Contract 2: General Construction Work 2- Windows A Bidder, upon 1) making the deposit required for the Bid Documents, 2) submitting a Proposal accompanied by a certified check or other security in accordance with the requirements contained in the plans and specifications and public advertisement for bids, and 3) returning the plans and specifications used by such Bidder in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the Contract, or rejection of the Bid, shall have returned to them the full amount of the deposit for one copy of the plans and specifications. Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed, and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. In addition, the Bidding Documents contain detailed requirements for the qualification of Bidders. These include, among other things, rigid bonding and insurance requirements, financial statements, bank references, lists of lawsuits, arbitrations or other proceedings in which the Bidder has been named as a party, a statement of surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds, and a description of other projects of similar size and scope completed by the Bidder. Project Identification: Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, appliances, services, and incidentals necessary for layout, installing, and performing Additions and Alterations at the Ellenville Central School District (ECSD) as shown on the Contract Drawings and described in the Specifications. A. Phase 2b - The work consists of but not limited to the following: B. The Work will be performed at the ECSD (Elementary, Middle and High Schools) located at 28 Maple Ave, Ellenville NY 12428 1. Architect Identification: The Contract Documents were prepared forthe Project by Clark Patterson Lee Architecture-Engineering-Planning 2. Construction Manager: The Palombo Group has been engaged as Construction Manager for this Project to serve as an advisor to Owner and to provide assistance in administering the Contract for Construction between Owner and Contractor, according to a separate contract between Owner and Construction Manager. 3. Building Code in Effect for Project: 2020 Building Code of New York State as adopted and the Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State. 4. Comply with the following: New York State Energy Conservation Codeand the building standards of the New York State Education Department Each Bidder shall deposit with its bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS." No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in, or to reject, any or all bids. |
