RFQ - Contractors Re-roof of Fayette Bevill Building Flat Roof at Bevill State Community College

As of December 26, 2023, The pre-bid and bid dates are being moved to after the first of the year. An issue was discovered that required the package specifications to change and all will be available at the next pre-bid. ADVERTISEMENT FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS AND CONSTRUCTION BIDS FOR THE RE-ROOF OF FAYETTE BEVILL BUILDING FLAT ROOF AT BEVILL STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to Bevill State Community College in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany bidder's proposal. Bidders must submit with the proposal a letter from an Insurance Carrier approved by the State of Alabama as evidence of insurability. Performance Bond valued at 100% of the contract amount and Payment Bond valued at 50% of the contract amount will be required at the signing of the Contract. Bevill State Community College intends to award a single contract to a single contractor. The Owner will accept proposals only from pre-qualified firms which demonstrate their experience and ability to perform the work necessary for this Project. Interested General Contractors must submit a Contractor's Qualification Statement showing minimum qualifications to be certified by prospective bidders to include but not limited to: 1) statutory licensure requirements, 2) proof, in the form of a letter from a licensed bonding agent, of current bonding capacity in excess of Four Hundred Thousand dollars, 3) minimum of 5 years in operation as a General Contractor under the same company name 4) minimum annual volume of 1 million dollars in construction value for each of the past three years and at least three (3) construction projects of a similar size and scope to this project completed during the last twenty-four (24) months and 5) Submit all prequalified information required to Rhonda Porter, Director of Purchasing, 1411 Indiana Avenue, Jasper, Al, 35501 before the bid opening. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished using the forms included in the bid documents or available online from the Alabama Community College System website All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by Bevill State Community College; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. Bevill State Community College reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Bevill State Community College's judgement, the best interests of Bevill State Community College will thereby be promoted.
