Description | The 14,000 tonnage figure is to be used only for the purpose of submitting a bid and determining a bid bond amount; actual usage for the 2023 asphalt season may vary from the estimate. The City of Great Falls Pavement Preservation Program will start on or about July 1, 2023 and end December 31, 2023 The bid price for asphaltic concrete material shall be the guaranteed price for the period July 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023. Prior to December 15, 2023 the asphaltic concrete supplier shall provide a proposed guaranteed price for the period January 1, 2024 through June 30, 2024. Any deviation from the price from the previous period shall be fully documented to the satisfaction of the City. The City, using its sole discretion, shall decide whether to accept the proposed price for the period January 1, 2024 through June 30, 2024 and extend this contract or to rebid the contract for the asphalt acquisition for January 1, 2024 through June 30, 2024. Any accepted increase may decrease the total amount of asphaltic concrete purchased. Bid and Performance Guarantee: Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or bank money order and issued by a national banking association located in the State of Montana, or by any banking corporation incorporated in the State of Montana; or by a bid bond or bonds executed by the Surety Corporation authorized to do business in the State of Montana in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid as a guarantee that the successful bidder will satisfy all requirements of the bid. Upon the successful bidder’s satisfactory performance of the terms and conditions of the bid, the guarantee will be returned to bidder. Rejection of Bid: If deemed by the City of Great Falls to be in its best interests, the City of Great Falls reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid. |
