Description | The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the installation of approximately 1,496 lineal feet of 8-inch diameter CIPP liner in the existing sanitary sewer, including dewatering, care of flow, cleaning and televising, together with restoration of all disturbed surfaces and all other incidental work required to complete the project. This is a Lump Sum Contract. All work shall be constructed under the provisions of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridges Construction prepared by the Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois, adopted January 1, 2022, and the Standard Specifications for Water and Sewer Main Construction in Illinois, July 2009, Sixth Edition. The only exception to these standards, are all references to measurement and payment. The federal prevailing rate of wages (Davis Bacon Act) shall be paid throughout the scope of the project. Award of a contract under this invitation for bids will be federally funded in part with a grant by HUD. Not less than fifteen percent (15%) of the total contract amount must be expended with a Minority Business Enterprise(s) in the form of services, supplies, or subcontracts. Designated IGD forms must be completed and submitted with the bid proposal or the bid will be marked as incomplete, resulting in the municipality not being able to issue a Notice of Award without possible loss of CDBG funds. Bidders will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 as amended. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications.
