Description | The City of Manchester is seeking prequalification statements from construction contractors for a pipeline cleaning and retrofit project: The Cemetery Brook CSO Optimization with Real-Time Controls (RTC) Project, Contract 1. The project is scheduled to begin construction in fall of 2022. The Cemetery Brook CSO Optimization with Real-Time Controls Project, Contract 1 includes cleaning and maintenance of the Valley Street Cemetery conduits, modification of the Cemetery Brook Primary CSO regulator, construction of a new Cemetery Brook dry weather flow regulator structure with local reactive passive control, and implementation of an extended reactive RTC at West Side Pump Station. Construction duration is 348 calendar days for substantial completion and 408 calendar days for final completion. The Cemetery Brook CSO Optimization with Real-Time Controls Project, Contract 1, takes place along approximately one mile of reinforced concrete storm drain and connect to the East Interceptor North (EIN). It includes the construction and installation of a new Dry Weather Flow (DWF) regulator structure with local reactive passive control at the outlet of Cemetery Brook's 30-inch DWF pipe, at a depth ranging from 15 to 25 feet. Contract 1 also includes raising the elevation of the 32-foot overflow weir crest of Cemetery Brook's Primary Regulator structure by 1.12 feet. Debris removal from the 1200 linear foot of 10' x 4' double box culvert at Valley Street Cemetery will also be required. Finally, the West Side Pump Station will be modified to incorporate extended reactive real-time controls (RTC). Mandatory pre bid conferences will be held approximately two weeks prior to bid opening. Construction contractors with extensive experience in sanitary and storm drain construction projects of a similar size and scope are invited to submit prequalification statements for bidding on the City of Manchester's Cemetery Brook Combined Sewer Optimization with Real-Time Controls Project, Contract 1.
