Chatham County Police Annex UPS Replacement

1. The project consists of the replacement of the existing facilities UPS system. The project is located at the Police Annex at 295 Police Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia. This bid is for the purchase, installation, startup, and maintenance of a new UPS that is replacing the UPS that is currently being used. This bid also covers the decommissioning, and removal and disposal of the old UPS. The work consists of furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment for: The existing 100 kVA UPS and battery cabinet are to be replaced with a new 50 kVA UPS and battery cabinet. The existing maintenance bypass panel is to be demolished. A new maintenance bypass cabinet will be provided integral to the UPS. An MBE/WBE is a for-profit small business concern where minorities or female owners have at least a 5lYo interest and also control management and daily business operations. A Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) is considered an M/WBE by Chatham County, although some requirements may differ since DBE certifications are generally issued under State guidelines. Therefore, the County uses the term M/WBE in most of its procurement documents unless the County is using federal or state funding sources.
