Description | Hamilton Township Municipal Building Phase 1 - Demolition and Hazardous Abatement Project Sealed bids must be received by or before that date and time. Bidders are encouraged to submit their sealed bids in a timely manner, via USPS, UPS, FedEx, courier service Bidders are solely responsible for ensuring that their bids are received by the MCIA before the bid opening date and time. Written questions on the Bid Documents are due by 5 P.M. on Tuesday February 28, 2023. Address questions via email to Chad Gaulrapp at Pennoni, cgaulrapp@pennoni.com. Bids must be made on the proposal forms in the Bid Documents in the manner designated therein, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Mercer County Improvement Authority at the above address, accompanied by a Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check drawn to the order of Mercer County Improvement Authority for ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, but not in excess of $20,000. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an approved surety licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Performance Bond upon the award of contract. Bidders and their subcontractors shall be pre-qualified by the Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction with a minimum classification of C021. Furthermore, asbestos removal contractors must have a minimum classification of C092 and hazardous abatement contractors must have a minimum classification of C094. The Bidder and its subcontractors must submit an affidavit with its bid setting forth the type and amount of work for which it has been qualified, that there has been no material adverse change in its qualification information, and the total amount of uncompleted contracts at the time of bid and date of classification. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. Bidders are required to comply with the affirmative action and non-discrimination provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq. and, where applicable, the requirements of N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. and N.J.S.A. 40:37A-55 et seq. with respect to the payment of prevailing wages. In accordance with the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, the MCIA reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, waive any minor or immaterial discrepancies, technical omissions, and non-material exceptions in accordance with applicable law, and to accept the bid of the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
