Description | Reference Number 0000327238 Notice is hereby given that the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners is requesting proposals from qualified roofing Contractors and or general Contractors for tear-off and replacement of multiple roofs on the La Plata County Courthouse located at 1060 E. Second Avenue in Durango, Colorado. Question Acceptance Deadline 08/22/2023 at 5:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online No -- Refer questions regarding this RFP opportunity to KHightower@lpcgov.org. *The County reserves the right to reject any and all responses, to waive any informalities and minor irregularities in responses, and to accept the response deemed, in its opinion, to be in the best interest of La Plata County. The County's intent is to bring the roof up to current code. The design drawings provided include ISO insulation thickness, materials desired and specific details. Additionally, previous roofing replacement has excluded replacement of the parapet cap flashing, part of which is to be removed and replaced as part of this work. The new roof will be ballasted using the existing ballast. Offeror must remove or relocate and re-use existing ballast. Roof loading maximum is included in the plans. Roofing Offeror's Scope includes, but is not limited to: removal of parapet cap metal and replacement with new; removal/relocation of ballast rock and replacement/re-use; removal and disposal of existing membrane; removal of any damaged ISO insulation; removal of boots and other accessories and all fasteners and remnants of existing roof; furnish and install new ISO insulation to the thicknesses represented in the drawings; furnish and install new decking material over ISO installation; and, furnish and install new cant strip, membrane roofing material, boots, and accessories as required to provide a complete, sealed roof. Furnish and install new parapet caps over membrane roofing. Replace all ballast rock in a uniform thickness and neat, professional manner taking care to avoid damaging new membrane. Schedule Time is of the essence in completion of this project. Contractor availability to complete the project within the desired timeframe is important, and reflected in the evaluation criteria. Ideally, the County would like for the entire project to be completed no later than Nov. 15, 2023, weather permitting. However, the County understands that lead times for materials and contractor availability may pose challenges to the desired timeframe. Therefore, Offerors must convey the following in their proposal: 1) A commitment to complete the entire project by Nov. 15, 2023; 2) A commitment to complete some roof sections by Nov. 15, 2023, with the remainder completed in Spring 2024; or, 3) A commitment to start and complete the entire project during the Spring of 2024 (within 60 calendar days following the Notice to Proceed). |
