Description | Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ardsley, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project. The project consists of milling approximately 69,350 square yards of existing roadway surface, adjust manholes, valve boxes, and catch basins, line striping, and installing approximately 8,390 tons of asphalt top course. Bids shall be made on the Proposal Forms, furnished with the Specifications and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond acceptable to the Village, or a certified cashier's check, drawn on a solvent bank account in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Checks shall be made payable to the Village of Irvington, New York, and are to be held by the Village as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. In default of such execution and delivery of Contract and Bonds, the amount of the deposit represented by the check shall be forfeited to and retained by the Village of Irvington as liquidated damages. Contractor shall coordinate paving with the Village curb installation work. Roads which require curbing and paving shall not be paved prior to curb installation. The cooperating Villages reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities at their discretion, and to award contracts in a manner deemed to be in the best interests of the cooperating Villages even if such award is for other than the lowest bidder.
