Description

Salt Plains NWR has the need for salt cedar (Tamarisk spp.) removal within Priority Area 1 on the saline flat also known as salt flats. This project area is between Cottonwood creek and Clay creeks on the west side of the refuge’s salt flats (see attached project area map). The salt cedar has previously been chemically treated. The project calls for the extraction of all salt cedar, alive and dead, within the designated area.
