Description | For hand delivery bidders must call the Borough office at 724-697-4415 to make arrangements prior to delivery. Envelopes containing bids must be designated Sealed Bid: Butler Avenue Reconstruction & Drainage Improvement Project using CDBG Funds for work as follows: Rotomill Cartways 0 to 2 Depth 4,300 SY; Soft Area Repair 430 SY; Manhole & Lamphole Adjustment Risers 4 EA; Inlet Adjustments with new Frames/Grates 4 EA; 8 Combination Drain 350 LF; Inserta-Tees 10 EA; Drain Pipe Connections 80 LF; 2 Binder Course 460 TN; Leveling Course 5 TN; 1 Wearing Course 350 TN; and other specified work - all quantities approximate. Bid must be accompanied by satisfactory bid security executed by bidder and acceptable surety authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of 10% of the bid made payable to Avonmore Borough. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Proposals must be upon the form provided. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after the opening thereof. Contractor is to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of October 27, 1955 as amended and follow all applicable & Pa. Dept. of Health guidelines and orders. Successful contractor must attach a Certification of Compliance with labor standards as specified by the U.S. Department of Labor in the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended, 40 U.S.C. Sections 276(a) through 276(a)-7 and furnish the County with weekly payroll sheets. This project is funded in whole or in part with federal funds. Davis-Bacon wage rates and other federal requirements apply and are included in the bid documents. Labor Compliance is mandatory. Notice is also hereby given that this project is regulated under Executive Order 11246 - Equal Employment Opportunity and related contract specifications apply. Regulations can be found at: portal. Contractors should use the Directory of Minority, Women and Section 3 Business Enterprises to solicit proposals from potential subcontractors portal. |
