Real Property for Talbot County Public Safety Complex

Seeking to purchase ten (10) to fifteen (15) acres of developable land within an approximate one (1) mile radius of the Town of Easton boundary for a new County Public Safety Complex to immediately construct and relocate the County Sheriff’s Office and potentially accommodate other present and future public safety uses. The property should be cleared and ready to build with direct access to Town, County and/or State roads, access to public utilities including municipal sewer and/or the ability to access public utilities through annexation and broadband connectivity. Candidate sites that currently have access to these necessary infrastructure needs, or can provide them quickly, may be given preferential consideration. Candidate sites that already have building structures located on the property that could be altered or modified for a Public Safety Complex will also be considered. The property should be located on a high elevation outside the risk of flooding (A and V zones as detailed on FEMA FIRM maps). The property should also be suitable for the erection of a communications tower (200 ft. minimum). The location must be compatible with Easton Airport’s approach zones and allow structures that will not be a hazard to air navigation.
