Pierce Street Improvements

ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE $500,000 This Contract provides for the reconstruction of approximately 800 LF of Pierce Street, from Patrick Avenue to the north including, but not limited to, excavation, grading, subgrade preparation including pulverization and cement treatment of the existing base, hot mix asphalt, storm drainage improvements, cement concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, pavement markings and permanent signing, miscellaneous surface restoration and utility adjustments, and other work all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Special Provisions and the Standard Specifications. The Work shall be substantially complete within 55 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. Unless otherwise agreed to by the Contracting Agency, the Contractor shall not commence activities which disturb traffic flow prior to June 15, 2023 and shall substantially complete the project by September 4, 2023 in order to limit impacts of road construction to the school's summer break. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Kittitas, Washington. The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the "City of Kittitas" and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount. Financing of the Project has been provided by City of Kittitas, Washington and Washington State Transportation Improvement Board. The City of Kittitas expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities in any Proposal.
