Description | Provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to access, clean, inspect, and rehabilitate / repair sanitary sewers within the specified project area. Access activities include obtaining the necessary permits and permissions to gain access to the sewers, notifying the public, as well as physically accessing the site. Diversion and control of flow through the sewers may be required if flow is too high to clean, obtain a clear inspection, or successfully rehabilitate sewers. Cleaning activities include hydraulic cleaning, the removal and disposal of roots / debris, mineral deposits and leveling intruding taps. Accomplish inspection with a closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection. Provide post-inspection data processing in accordance with NASSCO PACP. Pre-rehabilitation cleaning and inspection will be required for select rehabilitation areas. Rehabilitation includes chemical grouting, point repairs, and cured-in-place pipe lining. Rehabilitation includes installation of 8-in to 10-in CIPP and excavation point repairs.+ Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of 30 days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. The Contractor will be required to pay no less than the Illinois Prevailing Wage Rates (as recorded by the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act - 820 ILCS 130 and in Springfield, IL) on this Project as established by the U.S Department of Labor and must comply with the equal opportunity provisions set forth in the Contract Documents. The Contractor also must comply with all Federal, State, and Local regulations. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest. |
