Description

Original Set Aside: Historically Underutilized Business (HUBZone) Set-Aside (FAR 19.13) PROJECT INFORMATION: Under the contract, The work includes repairs to the existing Calumet Harbor Breakwater in Lake Michigan in order to maintain safe passage for vessels entering and exiting the harbor. Repairs will restore the structure to original design function within the existing structure footprint. Work will occur on the Indiana portion of the detached breakwater. Repair work will consist of the placement of new 3.5 ton to 8 ton size armor stone and resetting existing armor stone as needed and incidental related work. Damaged portions of the existing concrete cap will be demolished place toserve as the foundation for new armor stone.
