The JHA is seeking bids from qualified, licensed, and insured entities to provide the following detailed services listed herein: 2.1 General Description of the Work: 2.1.1 Furnish and provide all necessary labor and material for the proper installation of one (1) new Main Telecommunications Room (MTR) to include new seven-foot (7’) equipment rack, all required over-head ladder rack, modular patch panels, horizontal and vertical wire managers, and conduit chase for penetration into MTR. 2.1.2 Furnish and provide all necessary labor and material to properly ground and bond new equipment, to include ground buss bar. 2.1.3 Furnish and provide all necessary labor and material for the proper installation of two (2) each category six (C6) plenum circuits from the new MTR to eighty-four (84) locations for a total of one-hundred and sixty-eight (168) circuits as specified by JHA personnel, to include all required forty-eight (48) port modular patch panels, termination equipment and hardware. Terminate, label, test, and provide test results prior to cutover. 2.1.4 Furnish and provide all necessary labor and material for the proper installation of one (1) twenty-five pair category 5e (C5e) to properly extend existing demark in HVAC room to the new MTR and terminate, to include all required hardware. 2.1.5 Furnish and provide one-hundred and sixty-eight (168) 28A WG patch cords for the MTR and the workstations, and twenty-four (24) 28A WG patch cords for voice circuits. 2.1.6 Installation as follows: 2.1.6.1 Pull in all C6 circuits in the same pathway / alongside the existing C5 circuits at each workstation, terminate and land the C6 in a new Panduit EIV faceplate. 2.1.6.2 After cutover: 2.1.6.2.1 De-wire the old category 5e circuits, secure the new C6 face plates at the workstation end to the wall in place of the old faceplates. 2.1.6.2.2 Assist in patching to the switch as required 2.1.7 Furnish and provide all necessary labor to de-wire and remove equipment from old TR in HVAC room. 2.1.8 All work must be done in strict accordance with BICSI and NEC standards and guidelines.
