Description | All bids shall be prepared using the Project Manual and Drawings. Addenda will be sent via e-mail to all documented plan holders up to seventy-two (72) hours before the Bid closing time. The Owner/Engineer is not responsible for delivery of addenda to prospective bidders. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Engineer. Bids shall be submitted for furnishing, delivering, and installing all materials, equipment, and services, including labor for the Work, which generally involves the following activities: Construction of new Master Lift Station adjacent to existing Continental Country Club WWTF and construction of approximately 9,400 LF of 8" PVC force main from the current proposed Lift Station northeast through the spray field located east of Continental Boulevard and South of County Road 44. Construction of approximately 9,600 linear feet of 8" PVC force main starting just east of Continental Boulevard and travelling west along the south side of County Road 44. CONTRACT TIME: Construction time to achieve Substantial Completion is 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 30 consecutive calendar days to achieve Final Completion. Total construction duration is 210 consecutive calendar days. All bids shall be prepared using the Project Manual and Drawings. Addenda will be sent via e-mail to all documented plan holders up to seventy-two (72) hours before the Bid closing time. The Owner/Engineer is not responsible for delivery of addenda to prospective bidders. BID SECURITY: A 5% bid security is required for this project, to be submitted with bids. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND: The Owner will require that the Contractor furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. All Payment and Performance Bonds shall be secured from or countersigned by an agency or surety company recognized in good standing and authorized to do business in the State of Florida. engineer's estimate of cost for the Project - $3,744,681.75 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Question Deadline 05/25/2023 |
