Description | Scope of Work: Carteret County Government is seeking bids to paint areas at the Courthouse Complex located at 302 Courthouse Square, Beaufort, NC 28516. Details are as follows: o Surfaces shall be cleaned of all moisture, dirt, oil, grease, rust, and other foreign matter prior to painting. Necessary site preparation such as caulking, scraping, sanding, hole repair, stucco repair, metal repair, application of rust inhibitor and priming shall be performed as needed to ensure the utmost quality and integrity of the end product. Filler(s) shall be smooth to the contour of object. o The Contractor shall apply a minimum of two (2) coats of SW 7008 Alabaster, extra white gloss to all surfaces receiving new paint unless otherwise specified. o The Contractor shall paint all pillars, high ceilings, all handrails, doors and overhangs, existing yellow markings by entryways (back to yellow), all soffit, fascia and peaks around the perimeter, cupola and hardy-board surrounding cupola on the Old Courthouse side. o The Contractor shall paint all concrete pillars, all breezeway handrails, signs mounted to brick under front storefront, metal track system located next to pillar, ceilings and flat faced metal doors and frames on the Administration and Annex side of the Courthouse Complex. o Paint shall be applied evenly by brush or roller without runs, drips, air bubbles or other defects. o Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervisor for prep, cleaning and painting. o The Contractor shall provide SDS of all materials prior to any work being started. o Schedule shall take place after normal business hours and shall be completed within 30 calendar days of the project start date. o Any damages associated with this project shall be the Contractor's responsibility to fix or replace at the County's discretion. o The Contractor shall contact the POC below for a site visit prior to submitting a bid. o The Contractor shall obtain the required permits, if required, give all notices, and comply with all laws, ordinances, codes, rules and regulations bearing on the conduct of the work. No time extensions shall be granted or financial consideration given to the Contractor for time or monies lost due to violations of any such ordinance, code, law or regulations that may occur. Contractors must be able to provide current Certificates of Insurance for public liability, property damage, and Workers' Compensation. Quotes/bids/proposals will not be accepted after the due date assigned. All contractual terms and conditions will be subject to review by Carteret County and will include scope, schedule, and other necessary items pertaining to the project. Please provide your proposal with break outs for labor, materials and tax if applicable. |
