Description | To provide labor and materials necessary to perform the roof replacement project at East Naples Middle school per all specifications, plans and drawings. The project location is East Naples Middle School, 4100 Estey Avenue, Naples, FL 34104. Each bid must be accompanied by a BID BOND in an amount not less than five- percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid per the following a. For projects that are bid at $500,000 or less, the requirements are: i. The surety company is licensed to do business in the State of Florida, ii. The surety company holds a certificate of authority authorizing it to write surety bonds in this state, iii. The surety company has twice the minimum surplus and capital required by the Florida Insurance Code at the time the ITB is issued, iv. The surety company is otherwise in compliance with the provisions of the Florida Insurance Code, v. The surety company holds a current and valid certificate of authority issued by the United States Department of the Treasury under 31 U.S.C. ss. 9304-9308. b. For projects that are equal to or greater than $500,000, the requirements are: i. The surety company shall hold a current and valid certificate of authority issued by the State of Florida, Department of Insurance to write surety bonds in the State of Florida, ii. the surety company has a current and valid certificate of authority issued by the United States Department of Treasury as listed in Circular 570, iii. The surety company shall have a rating of A- or above in the current issue of A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide. All formal bid openings are public. All interested parties may attend but are not required to witness the bid openings. There is no intent to decide on an award at the time of the bid opening. All submittals are subject to a detailed evaluation by CCPS before a recommendation of an award is presented to the School Board. All bids and proposals are subject to the Public Records Law and as such are accessible to interested parties under Chapter 119, Florida Statutes. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to waive any or all formalities in regard thereto. |
