| Description | The Contractor will be responsible for mastication of all pinon and juniper trees less than 10 inches at the root crown and all shrubs greater than 2 feet tall in the entire treatment area, which should result in up to 60% removal of vegetation. In the treatment area pinyon and juniper trees and mixed mountain shrubs treated with mastication will totaling 159 acres. The contractor will grind/mulch pinyon and juniper trees and mixed mountain shrub with contractor furnished equipment leaving stumps and root crowns no higher than 6 inches utilizing a vertical shaft type mulching head. |
