Description | Bids must be submitted on the provided forms and be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond drawn to the order of the Town of West New York for not less than Ten Percent of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. (New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. S12101, et seq.). The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bids, in accordance with applicable law. All questions pertaining to the Bid should be addressed in writing to the architects Scott Hicks at shicks@cchnj.com and Michael Nelson at mnelson@cchnj.com by Monday, May 30, 2022 at 2:00 pm. SCOPE OF WORK A. The work of this Contract consists of supplying all labor, materials, equipment and appliances necessary and required to complete all Sprinkler and Fire Standpipe Work, as indicated on the drawings or described or referred to in the Specifications, including, but not limited to the following: 1. Complete combination fire standpipe and sprinkler system including meter assemblies, automatic fire pump, jockey pump, fire department connections, fire hose stations with fire extinguishers, sprinkler heads, control valves, flow and tamper alarms, all required accessories, etc. 2. Sleeves, hangers and supports. 3. Temporary fire protection system. 4. Apply for, obtain and pay for all permits, certificates, inspections and approvals required in connection with the fire standpipe and sprinkler systems. 5. Shop drawings, samples, instructional manuals, tests and adjustments. 6. Color coding and stenciling of piping system. 7. Cutting and rough patching. 8. Cap flashing and prime painting. 9. Tests for all systems provided under this Section of the Specifications. Last day for RFI’s: Monday June 13, 2022 at 12:00 p.m |
