Cain and Russell Sewer System Improvements Project

The Project generally consists of construction related to the Cain & Russell Sewer System Improvements Project. The Project includes the following types of work: Installation of 8-inch sewer line. Replacement of manhole Connection of 8-inch sewer line to existing lift station and manhole Plugging of Existing 8-inch sewer line Removal of tree Temporary pump around bypass system Traffic control Erosion control and site maintenance Asphalt pavement A certified check or bank draft payable to City of Dunlap, U.S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent of the bid, shall be submitted with each Labor and Material bid in excess of $25,000.00 The successful bidder, submitting a labor and material bid in excess of $25,000.00, will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. The City of Dunlap reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding and to choose the bidder that the City believes to be in its best interest. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the City of Dunlap. All bidders are required to comply with General Licensing Act of 1976, also known as Tennessee House Bill No. 2180 and T.C.A. 62-6-119 of 1994. All contracts exceeding $10,000 shall contain a provision requiring compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled, Equal Employment Opportunity, as amended by Executive Order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). All bidders shall place a Drug Free Work Place Affi davit, Section 00350 for all Labor and Material and Labor Only Bid Packages in a separate envelope and attach to the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid.
