Description

To crack patch, seal coat and restripe seven parking lots and two driveway ramps. at our Courthouse and Justice Center in Eagle River, WI. 1. Crack Sealing: a. Router each crack at a minimum of 1 inch x 1 inch. b. Clean surface and crack joint of all debris. c. Heat lance each crack at a min. of 2100 degrees F. to ensure sealant adhesion. d. Fill each crack with hot-applied liquid rubberized crack and joint sealant. Material shall meet or exceed Federal Specification 3405 and shall be installed according to manufacturer’s recommendations using a double jacketed melter. Material shall be applied by use of a pressurized wand or pour pots. e. A four-inch wide over band shall be installed and leveled by striking with a squeegee to assure proper adhesion and to match existing pavement grade. 2. Seal Coating: a. Remove all loose and foreign debris from blacktop surfaces. b. Degrease, heat flash where necessary and coat pavement oil spots with a primer prior to seal coating. c. Apply at least two coats of coal tar emulsion asphalt sealer according to manufacturer’s recommendations to surfaces to be seal coated. d. Furnish and provide in writing a warranty against seal coated areas showing premature wear, lifting, or peeling except when caused by plows or any other physical grinding of the surface. 3. Restripe seal coated areas: a. Layout and repaint all previously existing surface traffic markings
