Route 11 North Water Extension - UT-11 - Rockingham County

The Smith Creek water and sewer system currently serves the area generally located along Valley Pike, north of the City of Harrisonburg. The water to this system is supplied by and purchased from the City. This project would extend a 16-inch line from Rockingham Park at the Crossroads on Spotswood Trail, east of the City, around the northeast edge of the City and connect to the existing waterline along Valley Pike north. This project would eliminate the need to purchase water from the City of Harrisonburg and not rely on any potential restrictions on use. This project is in included in the City's or County's FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of February 27, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
