Description | The Chester Housing Authority is planning to replace the roof of the Wellington Ridge Senior Building. The existing roofing materials include asphalt shingles and plywood sheathing. The scope of this project includes the replacement of the entire existing roof. The work consists of but is not limited to removing and replacing roofing materials including all roof sheathing, fascia and soffit replacement, ridge vents, demolition of existing roof replacement, gutter replacement, downspout replacement, installation of sheet metal flashing, and trim. The Chester Housing Authority will utilize electronic bidding to receive sealed bids for the Wellington Ridge Senior Building Roof Replacement Project. Bidders are required to provide Bid Security in an amount equal to 5% of the total amount bid. Bid Security may be provided in the form of a certified check or a bid bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to transact such business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Bidders are required to comply with the Davis Bacon labor standards, including the payment of prevailing wages where applicable. Any and all questions are to be submitted electronically Only the Successful Bidder for a contract will be responsible for payment of a fee electronically and for bearing the cost thereof. The amount of the fee due to electronically is either 1/3% (0.0033) of the initial contract award amount for fixed fee contracts or 1/6% (0.00166) of the expected contract value for term contracts and will be invoiced by electronically to the successful bidder upon award of a contract by the Local Contracting Unit. The minimum fee is set at $100.00 and the maximum fee is capped at $5,000.00. IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor & materials required to clean and restore the site to at least the existing condition. B. Maintain premises and public properties free from accumulations of waste, debris and rubbish caused by work operations. C. At the completion of work, remove waste materials, rubbish, tools, equipment, machinery and surplus materials; clean all visually exposed surfaces; leave project clean and ready for occupancy. D. At the completion of work, restore or replace, where and as directed by the Owner, any public or private property disturbed or damaged by Contractor's work operations to a condition at least equal to that existing prior to beginning work, or as otherwise specified. Materials, equipment and methods shall be approved by the Owner. |
