Description

The requirement for this opportunity includes the construction of a complete fire alarm system to replace the existing system, and extend sprinkler service at the Milwaukee Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse. The fire alarm will include both audio and visual alarms as required by GSA and National Fire Protection Association guidelines. The existing fire alarm system will need to be removed once the new system is operational. The project will also extend sprinkler service to areas of the building that are not currently protected, and replace sprinkler heads nearing the end of their useful life. Hazardous materials, including asbestos and lead-based paint, that directly impact the project will be abated as a part of this contract. The scope will also include Interior repairs incidental to replacing and upgrading the fire protection system, including the division of an existing space into a command center housing the fire protection panels.
