Cheswick Park - Bond Project

The Work consists of park and site improvements that will provide needed upgrades to the existing 25-acre neighborhood park constructed opened in 1980 located at 1700 Forest Ave., Henrico County VA 23229. The project will include removal and replacement of the existing 40 car permeable paver parking lot and replacement with a 61-car asphalt parking lot. Improvement to the park entrance road, replacement of the pedestrian bridge at the creek crossing creek, walking trails and ADA access improvements and site lighting is included. Additional work includes interior and exterior building improvements to the existing restroom and shelter structure to meet ADA requirements, provide a family restroom and improve the aesthetic appearance. It also includes resurfacing the existing rubber playground surfacing and new outdoor fitness equipment. All supporting other activities required to complete the project will be included such as tree clearing, stormwater improvements, landscaping, and erosion and sediment control requirements.
