Description

Linguar Rd, from CR 643 (Lakeshore Dr) westerly to the west end of the cul-de-sac, Popp Rd, from Amore Rd northerly to the widening at approximately 0.5 miles south of CR 645 (French Rd) Section 3, Centerville Township; Sections 26, 34 & 35, Leland Township, Total 4.16 miles: This project consists of wedging and the addition of approximately 400’ HMA shoulder. The roads will be wedged with HMA paving to correct excessive quarter crown, placing 4E1 material over approximately 5-8 feet of each lane of the existing pavement. In selected areas (as painted out or directed by Road Commission staff) wedging may extend out to the centerline of the road. Portions of Popp Rd are 28’ to 30’ wide. Linguar Road, west of Popp Rd is 30’ wide. Wedging is assumed to be 0-3” deep. The Road Commission may choose to undercut one or more short areas prior to paving. In these locations, paving will consist of placing 4E1 material matching the width of the existing roadway (2 passes at variable width to match existing) at 330 lbs/syd. These areas will be paved in 2 lifts. The first lift will be placed as a base course, flush to existing HMA, the second lift will be placed integrally and at the same time as the HMA wedging. Both lifts will be paid for as HMA, 4E1 Wedge.
