Description

The Tarrant Regional Water District is seeking bids for the purchase and installation of ten (10) personnel gates and six (6) raise gate tracks. Scope for Personnel Gates: Cut in to pre-existing fence line and install personnel gate that aligns just below current top rail and that is 3' wide. Personnel gate should have middle brace to ensure structural integrity. If concrete mow strip is present then new post should be installed using concrete foot plate as shown in picture. If there is no concrete mow strip a new pole will be installed using 5,000 PSI or similar concrete that is at a minimum depth of 3'. Industrial/commercial grade hardware, hinges, bolts, nuts, etc. shall be used for all portions of the project Matching existing size poles and awg of mesh fabric Clasp latch with padlock compatibility is to be installed for each personnel gate All methods of installation, material used, and quality of work should be in accordance to ASTM standards Scope for Raised Gate Tracks Install 3/8" thick steel plating the length of the current recessed track opening that is 10" wide to cover over what will be the "old" gate track. Use industry standard anchors to securely hold plating in place and to be spaced every 12" and alternating on each side. Steel should have a load rating of HS20. Weld new V track onto steel plating. Welding should be done in accordance to local fire codes and ordinances. Welding quality should be that of industry standards or higher. Weld additional V track onto existing V track on the back end that runs the length of the entire gate track as needed to keep track level and operating smoothly with no binds. All metal to be sprayed with high quality galvanized spray paint Prospective bidders must register with the Procurement Website as a plan holder, even if bidding documents are obtained from a plan room or other site. All official notifications, addenda, and other documents will be offered only through the Procurement Website. Bid forms obtained from any source other than the District may be incomplete and offerors risk not receiving necessary addenda, or other required documents causing the submittal to be considered non-responsive, and eliminating the submittal from an award. The District will not be responsible for the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of the final bid documents obtained from other sources. Questions are to be submitted using the Question and Answer process on the Procurement Website. Response to questions posted on the Procurement Website will be posted on the website by the District for the benefit of all bidders. A response will be given to questions submitted by end of the day on July 26, 2022.
