| Description | The Government requires Grounds Maintenance and Snow/Ice Removal Services for the Pentagon Reservation located in Arlington County, Virginia which consists of the Pentagon Building, the Remote Delivery Facility (RDF) and its rooftop helipad, the Pentagon Heating and Refrigeration Plant (H&RP) compound, the Metro Entrance Facility (MEF), the North Pentagon Village and a variety of smaller support facilities. The contractor is to provide all staffing, equipment, and materials necessary to perform the separate tasks required at The Pentagon. Task Area 1- Grounds Maintenance- The Contractor shall plan, organize, and execute support functions to provide a mechanism by which formal landscaped areas are kept in a healthy, vigorous, aesthetically pleasing and functionally acceptable condition and the integrity of natural areas is preserved and maintained; employing an environmentally wise, yet practical approach in compliance with the DoD mission and compatible with the public interest. The specific tasks are listed below: 1. Pruning/Shearing. 2. Soil Nutrient Management. 3. Mulching. 4. Core Cultivation/Aeration. 5. Integrated Pest Management. 6. Turf/Grass Cutting. 7. Edging. 8. Watering. 9. Seasonal Display Preparation. 10. Leaf Removal. 11. Policing. 12. Special Event Support. 13. Bollard/Post and Chain Maintenance. 14. Maintaining Landscape Aesthetics and Integrity. Task Area 2- Snow/Ice Removal- The Contractor shall remove all snow and ice from all pavement and sidewalks associated with the Pentagon Reservation. This includes, but is not limited to, all entrances, steps, stairways, sidewalks, pathways, plazas, pedestrian shelters, parking lots, roadways, ramps and bridges. The Contractor shall also remove snow accumulations from all Pentagon Courtyard (CCY) benches, chairs, and tables. | ||||
