Shadow Rock Park - Safety Ballfields and Safety Surfacing Replacement

1) The Work consists of the construction of two (2) play areas of approximately 4800 sf. Work scope includes removing existing play structures, safety surfacing, fencing, and curbing at the two (2) playgrounds; and installing a new 2–5-year-old playground and a new 5–12-year-old playground equipment. In addition, install a new 12” mow curb along with a new 3’ tube steel fencing, new safety surface tile system with new compacted subgrade, base aggregate, concrete base with keyway and cushion/wear course (tiles). Repairs are to be made to impacted site and landscape areas, and improvements to the path of travel with playground areas. 2) The Work consists of the construction of two (2) play areas of approximately 9000 sf. Work scope includes the removal and replacement of safety surfaces only with new compacted subgrade, base aggregate, concrete base with keyway and cushion/wear course (tiles). A demolition plan has been developed for the safety surface removal while existing play equipment to remain in place and protected during demolition. Repairs are to be made to impacted site and landscape areas, and improvements to the path of travel with playground areas. 3) The Work consists of the construction of one (1) play area of approximately 1200 sf. Work scope includes the removal and replacement of play equipment with one (1) new play equipment for 5–12-year-old, installation of new fencing and curbing, new safety surfacing tile system with new compacted subgrade, base aggregate, concrete base with keyway and cushion/wear course (tiles), new shade structure with lighting, and a new 12” mow curb along with a new 3’ tube steel fencing. Repairs are to be made to impacted site and landscape areas, and improvements to the path of travel with playground areas.
