Biohazardous Waste Disposal Services

This is a competitive solicitation for Biohazardous Waste Disposal Services to enable the Florida International University Board of Trustees (FIU) to enter into a contract with a vendor to provide biohazardous waste disposal services, biohazardous waste containers/supplies, and emergency response in compliance with Florida Administrative Code (FAC) Chapter 64E-16 for the Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S). The initial term of the contract will be for three years, and the University will have the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year terms. Renewals are not automatic and at the discretion of the University only. For the purposes of this ITN the awarded vendor will package, pickup, transport and dispose biohazardous waste in containers supplied by vendor in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. If at any time during the term of contract, the vendor's licenses/certificates/permits expire, are canceled, modified, or suspended, the vendor must notify the EH&S representative immediately. In addition, the vendor will provide EH&S with any revised licenses/certifications/permits which states the licenses/certificates/permits are still in effect.
