Description

As of April 3, 2023, project was awarded to First General of Southern NY, Inc, awarded amount is $1,526,412.71. The Project includes the following Work: 1. The proposed project will provide for Floodproofing for the existing Town Hall and Justice Buildings along with Renovations to the existing Justice Building. The renovations consist of a small garage addition, new emergency generator, new mechanical unit, first floor offices and new courtroom in the Justice Building. See attached bid documents for full scope of work. Bidding Documents may be viewed and bid packages may be purchased/downloaded from the designated website by prospective bidders. Prospective Bidders must register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Questions or inquiries should be in writing and directed to Highland Associates, 102 Highland Avenue, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. Separate sealed bids will be received for the following: Contract 1 General Contract 2 Mechanical Contract 3 Plumbing Contract 4 Electrical Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form of a bid bond or certified check, made payable to the Town of Union. Contractors shall document good faith efforts to solicit active participation by Minority/Women-owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) for provision of labor and/or materials as appropriate. The Town of Union is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages all Section 3 and Minority/Women- Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) to submit proposals. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45-days after the actual bid opening thereof, in accordance with the New York State General Municipal Law, Section 105. The bidders should not include in their bid Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on the cost of the materials which are to be incorporated in the Project and which are to be separately sold by the Bidder to the municipality prior to incorporation into the Project.
